On March 10, 2025, ABTdomain recorded significant domain registration activity across various TLDs (Top-Level Domains). This report analyzes the distribution of newly registered domains by TLD and examines the market share of domain registrars for the top 5 TLDs.

1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis

According to ABTdomain’s analysis, a total of 139,690 newly registered domains were recorded across 436 TLDs on March 10, 2025. Most of these domains were registered between March 8-10, 2025. The distribution shows that .com continues to dominate the domain registration landscape with a significant lead over other TLDs.

ABTdomain recorded 70,235 .com newly registered domains on March 10, 2025, representing 50.3% of all new domain registrations. These domains were primarily registered on March 9, 2025.

b) .xyz Newly Registered Domains

ABTdomain recorded 8,196 .xyz newly registered domains on March 10, 2025, representing 5.9% of all new domain registrations. These domains were registered between March 8-9, 2025.

  1. GMO Internet: 2,910 domains (35.5%)
  2. Namecheap: 1,204 domains (14.7%)

GMO Internet has a commanding lead in the .xyz TLD market, with more than double the registrations of its nearest competitor. The top 5 registrars account for 73.6% of all newly registered .xyz domains, with the remaining 26.4% distributed among other registrars.

ABTdomain recorded 7,053 .top newly registered domains on March 10, 2025, representing 5.0% of all new domain registrations. These domains were registered between March 8-10, 2025.

ABTdomain recorded 5,741 .org newly registered domains on March 10, 2025, representing 4.1% of all new domain registrations. These domains were registered between March 8-10, 2025.
