1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis
ABTdomain analyzed 994 TLDs and found 439 TLDs with newly registered domains, recording a total of 239,654 newly registered domains. The distribution analysis reveals that .com continues to dominate the market with nearly half of all new registrations.

a) .com Newly Registered Domains
ABTdomain recorded 113,870 .com newly registered domains on May 31, 2025. These domains were all registered on May 30, 2025, representing 47.5% of all newly registered domains across all TLDs.
The top 5 registrars for .com domains are:
- GoDaddy: 22,179 domains (19.5%)
- Namecheap: 15,837 domains (13.9%)
- Gname: 9,655 domains (8.5%)
- Squarespace: 6,374 domains (5.6%)
- Hostinger: 5,847 domains (5.1%)
Other notable registrars include Alibaba Cloud (4,682 domains, 4.1%), Tucows (4,374 domains, 3.8%), GMO Internet (3,361 domains, 2.9%), Dynadot (3,318 domains, 2.9%), and Cloudflare (2,629 domains, 2.3%). The remaining registrars collectively account for 35,376 domains, representing 31.1% of all .com registrations.
b) .top Newly Registered Domains
ABTdomain recorded 19,638 .top newly registered domains on May 31, 2025. These domains were registered on May 31, 2025, as well as May 30, 2025 and May 29, 2025, representing 8.2% of all newly registered domains.
The top 5 registrars for .top domains are:
- West.cn: 7,851 domains (40.0%)
- GoDaddy: 3,204 domains (16.3%)
- Namesilo: 1,698 domains (8.6%)
- Gname: 1,202 domains (6.1%)
- Alibaba Cloud: 1,111 domains (5.7%)
The remaining registrars collectively account for 4,572 domains, representing 23.3% of all .top registrations. West.cn dominates the .top TLD market with a significant 40% share of all new registrations.
c) .xyz Newly Registered Domains
ABTdomain recorded 17,741 .xyz newly registered domains on May 31, 2025. These domains were registered on May 31, 2025, as well as May 30, 2025 and May 29, 2025, representing 7.4% of all newly registered domains.
The top 5 registrars for .xyz domains are:
- GMO Internet: 9,054 domains (51.0%)
- GMO Internet Group Inc. d/b/a Onamae.com: 2,919 domains (16.5%)
- Namecheap: 1,528 domains (8.6%)
- GoDaddy: 1,177 domains (6.6%)

ABTdomain recorded 14,982 .sbs newly registered domains on May 31, 2025. These domains were registered on May 31, 2025, as well as May 30, 2025 and May 29, 2025, representing 6.3% of all newly registered domains.
