In this comprehensive analysis, we examine the distribution patterns of newly registered domains during the week of March 03-09, 2025. Based on ABTdomain’s WHOIS database, a total of 1,435,115 new domains were registered across 535 different TLDs through 714 registrars during this period.

1. Newly Registered Domains TLD Distribution Analysis

The distribution of newly registered domains across different Top-Level Domains (TLDs) shows clear patterns of preference in the domain registration market.

The .com TLD continues to dominate with 728,225 new registrations, representing 50.7% of all newly registered domains. This highlights the enduring popularity and commercial value associated with .com domains. Following distantly in second place is .xyz with 108,868 registrations (7.6%), which has maintained its position as a popular alternative TLD.
