1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis

ABTdomain’s data reveals that on April 17, 2025, a total of 227,052 newly registered domains were recorded across 447 TLDs (out of 998 TLDs analyzed). The distribution shows a clear dominance of traditional extensions, with .com maintaining its strong position at the top.

  • .com: 106,987 domains (47.1%)
  • .top: 19,610 domains (8.6%)

a) .com Newly Registered Domains

The .com TLD continues to dominate the domain registration landscape with 106,987 newly registered domains recorded on April 17, 2025 (representing 47.1% of all new registrations). These domains were registered on April 16, 2025.

The .top TLD secured the second position with 19,610 newly registered domains (8.6% of all new registrations). These domains were registered on April 15 and April 16, 2025.

Namesilo dominates the .top TLD market with nearly one-third of all registrations. Chinese registrars feature prominently in this TLD category, collectively handling a significant portion of .top registrations. The top 5 registrars account for 82.9% of all new .top domain registrations.

c) .xyz Newly Registered Domains

The .xyz TLD ranks third with 11,664 newly registered domains (5.1% of all new registrations). These domains were registered on April 15 and April 16, 2025.

The .net TLD secured the fourth position with 8,576 newly registered domains (3.8% of all new registrations). These domains were registered on April 15 and April 16, 2025.
