On May 21, 2025, ABTdomain recorded significant domain registration activity across various TLDs (Top-Level Domains). This report analyzes the distribution of newly registered domains by TLD and examines the market share of domain registrars for the top 5 TLDs.
1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis
ABTdomain analyzed 994 TLDs and found 448 TLDs with newly registered domains, recording a total of 242,687 newly registered domains. Most of these domains were registered between May 19-21, 2025. The TLD distribution shows a clear dominance of the .com extension, which accounts for more than half of all new domain registrations.

2. Top 5 TLDs by Volume of Newly Registered Domains
a) .com Newly Registered Domains
The .com TLD continues to dominate the domain registration landscape with 126,495 newly registered domains recorded on May 21, 2025. These domains were registered on May 20, 2025.

- Namecheap: 18,082 domains (14.3%)
- Gname: 8,421 domains (6.7%)
- Squarespace: 7,250 domains (5.7%)

- Namesilo: 1,488 domains (5.8%)
