What to Check Before Bidding on Expired Domains

When considering which expired domains to backorder in these auctions, keep these factors in mind:

• Domain age and registration history (using WHOIS records)
• Existing backlink profile quality and quantity (using tools like Ahrefs or Majestic)
• Previous use and content (using Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine)
• Potential trademark issues or legal concerns
• Spam history or past penalties (using tools like SpamZilla)
• Memorability and brandability of the domain name

Expired aged domains can provide significant advantages for SEO and new projects, but always perform due diligence before acquisition to ensure there are no hidden issues that could affect the domain’s value.
