1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis
ABTdomain analyzed 1000 TLDs and found 447 TLDs with newly registered domains, recording a total of 209,600 newly registered domains on March 22, 2025. The .com TLD continues to dominate the domain registration landscape, accounting for nearly half of all new registrations.

a) .com Newly Registered Domains
On March 22, 2025, ABTdomain recorded 102,189 .com newly registered domains. All these domains were registered on March 21, 2025.
The top 5 registrars for .com domains are:
- Godaddy: 22,401 domains (21.9%)
- Namecheap: 13,265 domains (13.0%)
- Publicdomainregistry: 6,946 domains (6.8%)
- Squarespace: 6,031 domains (5.9%)
- Tucows: 4,314 domains (4.2%)
Godaddy maintains a strong lead in the .com registration market, capturing over one-fifth of all new registrations. b) .xyz Newly Registered Domains
ABTdomain recorded 13,348 .xyz newly registered domains on March 22, 2025. All these domains were registered on March 20, 2025 and March 21, 2025.
The top 5 registrars for .xyz domains are:
- GMO Internet: 5,045 domains (37.8%)
- Godaddy: 1,994 domains (14.9%)
- Namecheap: 1,709 domains (12.8%)
- Dynadot: 970 domains (7.3%)

GMO Internet dominates the .xyz registration market with a substantial 37.8% share, significantly ahead of its closest competitor. The top 5 registrars control 78.5% of all new .xyz registrations, suggesting a more concentrated market compared to .com domains. The remaining registrars (“Others”) account for 21.5% (2,871 domains) of new .xyz registrations.
c) .top Newly Registered Domains
ABTdomain recorded 9,372 .top newly registered domains on March 22, 2025. All these domains were registered on March 22, 2025, as well as March 21, 2025 and March 20, 2025.
The top 5 registrars for .top domains are:
- Namesilo: 2,417 domains (25.8%)
- West.cn: 1,455 domains (15.5%)
- Gname: 1,378 domains (14.7%)
- Dynadot: 806 domains (8.6%)
- Alibaba cloud: 756 domains (8.1%)
Namesilo leads the .top registration market with over a quarter of all new registrations. The presence of West.cn and Alibaba cloud among the top 5 registrars highlights the popularity of .top domains in the Chinese market. e) .org Newly Registered Domains
ABTdomain recorded 7,796 .org newly registered domains on March 22, 2025. All the domains were registered on March 22, 2025, as well as March 21, 2025 and March 20, 2025.

- Namecheap: 1,388 domains (17.8%)
- Godaddy: 1,260 domains (16.2%)
- Squarespace: 601 domains (7.7%)
