1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis
ABTdomain analyzed 996 TLDs and found 444 TLDs with newly registered domains, recording a total of 232,062 newly registered domains. The distribution shows a clear dominance of the .com TLD, which accounts for more than half of all new registrations.

Other popular TLDs such as .org, .xyz, and .online each represent less than 4% of the total registrations, while all other TLDs combined account for 18.0% of new domain registrations.
2. Top 5 TLDs by Volume of Newly Registered Domains
a) .com Newly Registered Domains
On April 23, 2025, ABTdomain recorded 125,217 .com newly registered domains. These domains were registered on April 22, 2025, showing strong continued demand for the most popular TLD.

ABTdomain recorded 15,081 .top newly registered domains on April 23, 2025. All these domains were registered on April 21, 2025, as well as April 22, 2025.

The .top TLD shows a more balanced distribution among registrars compared to .com. Chinese registrars have a strong presence in this market, with Wdomain leading at 17.4%. The top five registrars collectively control 71.4% of the .top domain market, indicating less concentration than seen in other TLDs.
c) .org Newly Registered Domains
On April 23, 2025, ABTdomain recorded 8,413 .org newly registered domains. All the domains were registered on April 23, 2025, as well as April 22, 2025 and April 21, 2025.

- GoDaddy: 1,306 domains (15.5%)
- Squarespace: 732 domains (8.7%)
- Ionos: 554 domains (6.6%)

In the .org domain space, Namecheap leads with over a quarter of all registrations, followed by GoDaddy. It’s worth noting that the “Others” category represents 39.5% of all .org registrations, indicating a highly fragmented market with many smaller registrars competing for market share in this TLD typically associated with non-profit organizations.
d) .xyz Newly Registered Domains
ABTdomain recorded 7,414 .xyz newly registered domains on April 23, 2025. All the domains were registered on April 23, 2025, as well as April 22, 2025 and April 21, 2025.

- Namecheap: 1,106 domains (14.9%)
- Alibaba cloud: 1,069 domains (14.4%)

For .xyz domains, GoDaddy maintains its leadership position with 22.4% of registrations. There’s a notable presence of Chinese registrars (Alibaba cloud and West.cn) in the top five, collectively accounting for 20.6% of .xyz registrations. The remaining 32.1% of registrations are distributed among various smaller registrars.
e) .online Newly Registered Domains
On April 23, 2025, ABTdomain recorded 6,722 .online newly registered domains. All the domains were registered on April 23, 2025, as well as April 22, 2025 and April 21, 2025.

- Namecheap: 902 domains (13.4%)
- Hostinger: 653 domains (9.7%)
