On July 17, 2025, ABTdomain recorded significant domain registration activity across various TLDs (Top-Level Domains). This report analyzes the distribution of newly registered domains by TLD and examines the market share of domain registrars for the top 5 TLDs.

1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis

On July 17, 2025, ABTdomain analyzed 994 TLDs and found 445 TLDs with newly registered domains, recording a total of 231,145 newly registered domains. The distribution of these registrations shows a clear dominance of the .com TLD, which accounts for more than half of all new registrations.

2. Top 5 TLDs by Volume of Newly Registered Domains

a) .com Newly Registered Domains

The .com TLD continues to dominate the domain registration landscape with 119,934 newly registered domains, representing 51.9% of all new registrations on July 17, 2025. This underscores the enduring popularity and commercial significance of .com domains.

The .top TLD secured the second position with 14,770 newly registered domains, representing 6.4% of all new registrations. This relatively new TLD has gained significant traction in the domain market.

The .xyz TLD ranks third with 13,223 newly registered domains, accounting for 5.7% of all new registrations. This TLD has remained popular, particularly among tech-oriented websites and startups.

The .org TLD secured the fourth position with 7,407 newly registered domains, representing 3.2% of all new registrations. This TLD continues to be the preferred choice for non-profit organizations and community websites.
