On July 30, 2025, ABTdomain recorded significant domain registration activity across various TLDs (Top-Level Domains). This report analyzes the distribution of newly registered domains by TLD and examines the market share of domain registrars for the top 5 TLDs.

1. Newly Registered Domains: Global Distribution Analysis

According to the data collected by ABTdomain on July 30, 2025, a total of 250,546 domains were newly registered across 452 active TLDs (out of 992 TLDs analyzed). The distribution reveals that .com continues to dominate the domain registration landscape, accounting for nearly half of all new registrations.

2. Top 5 TLDs by Volume of Newly Registered Domains

a) .com Newly Registered Domains

The .com TLD remains the most popular choice for domain registrations with 125,042 new domains registered on July 30, 2025. These domains represent 49.9% of all newly registered domains tracked by ABTdomain.

GoDaddy maintains its position as the leading registrar for .com domains, capturing nearly one-fifth of all new .com registrations. The top five registrars collectively account for approximately 49.6% of all new .com registrations, with the remaining 50.4% distributed among numerous smaller registrars, including Tucows, Gname, Namebright, Namesilo, and Alibaba Cloud.

b) .top Newly Registered Domains

The .top TLD has emerged as the second most popular choice with 19,073 new domains registered on July 30, 2025, representing 7.6% of all new domain registrations.

For .top domains, Eranet dominates the registration landscape with a significant 39.4% market share. The top five registrars account for 77.2% of all new .top domain registrations, suggesting a more concentrated registrar market compared to .com domains.

c) .xyz Newly Registered Domains

The .xyz TLD secured the third position with 11,230 newly registered domains on July 30, 2025, representing 4.5% of all new domain registrations.

The .info TLD ranked fourth with 10,780 newly registered domains on July 30, 2025, accounting for 4.3% of all new domain registrations.
