a) .com Newly Registered Domains

The .com TLD continues to be the most sought-after domain extension with 706,869 new registrations during the week, representing 50.1% of all domain registrations.

The .com market shows moderate concentration with the top 5 registrars accounting for 51.6% of all new .com registrations, while the remaining 232,430 domains (32.9%) were registered through numerous smaller registrars.

b) .xyz Newly Registered Domains

The .xyz TLD attracted 86,418 new registrations during the period, making it the second most popular choice representing 6.1% of all domain registrations.

The .xyz domain shows higher concentration than .com, with the top 5 registrars controlling 75.5% of all new .xyz registrations. GMO Internet has a particularly strong position in this TLD, representing nearly 40% of all new .xyz registrations.

The .top TLD saw 75,454 new registrations during the week, making it the third most popular TLD with 5.4% of all domain registrations.

The registrar market for .top domains shows a different pattern with Chinese registrars having a stronger presence. The top 5 registrars account for 72.3% of all new .top registrations, while “Others” represent 27.7% (20,874 domains).

d) .online Newly Registered Domains

The .online TLD garnered 52,001 new registrations during the week, representing 3.7% of all domain registrations.

The .online TLD shows a less concentrated market with the top 5 registrars accounting for just 47.6% of all new .online registrations. A substantial 52.4% (27,268 domains) were registered through various other registrars, indicating a more diverse market for this extension.

The .org TLD attracted 47,388 new registrations during the week, representing 3.4% of all domain registrations.
