Top Sales This Week

Compiled from publicly reported marketplace transactions for July 20 to July 26, 2026.

# Domain Price Platform Date
1 riggs.com $102,000 GoDaddy Jul 24
2 kmau.com $100,000 Sedo Jul 21
3 50000.com $51,408 GoDaddy Jul 24
4 mercatolive.fr €45,000 Sedo Jul 21
5 ben.net $35,750 Sedo Jul 21

Riggs.com at $102,000 and kmau.com at $100,000 were the week’s only six-figure transactions, closing three days apart on separate platforms. Both are short, pronounceable .com names, the category that has held its pricing most consistently through 2026. Numeric inventory also moved: 50000.com at $51,408 and 36000.com at $30,458 both closed at GoDaddy on July 24, a pattern consistent with a single auction cycle clearing. Two non-.com names placed in the top five: mercatolive.fr at €45,000 and ben.net at $35,750, the latter a three-letter given name in an extension that rarely reaches this level on a weekly chart. Sedo accounted for 52 of the 81 transactions recorded this week, with GoDaddy at 13 and the remainder spread across Namecheap, DropCatch, Atom, Afternic, and Spaceship.

Industry News

Google Registry Announces Three New Extensions
Google Registry confirmed launch plans for .eat, .fly, and .here, with a first-come first-served sunrise phase opening September 1, 2026. All three will be unrestricted and open to any registrant. The announcement adds to an already active launch calendar: .dot entered sunrise on July 21, and .pay extended its sunrise phase through July 20. CSC Weekly Launch Guide

Radix Adds 30,000 Names to Premium Lists
Radix updated premium domain lists across .fun, .host, .online, .press, .site, .space, .store, .tech, .uno, and .website on July 23, moving more than 30,000 previously standard names into premium pricing tiers. Registrants holding renewal-sensitive inventory in these extensions may see cost changes at their next cycle. CSC Weekly Launch Guide

Signal: The Radix reclassification is the item with a direct effect on existing holders, since it changes the price tier of names already registered rather than setting terms for new ones. A registry retains the ability to move a name into a premium tier after the fact, and holders of affected inventory find out at renewal. The Google announcement is a separate matter: new extensions expand what is available to register and leave existing renewal terms untouched.

Weekly Registration Overview

TLD Jul 20-26 Total Daily Avg Jul 13-19 Total Daily Avg Change
.com 921,957 131,708 939,899 134,271 -17,942 (-1.9%)
.net 58,136 8,305 61,866 8,838 -3,730 (-6.0%)
.org 56,762 8,109 58,771 8,396 -2,009 (-3.4%)
.dev 7,286 1,041 7,618 1,088 -332 (-4.4%)
.app 27,377 3,911 31,031 4,433 -3,654 (-11.8%)
.xyz 46,247 6,607 73,971 10,567 -27,724 (-37.5%)

Every extension tracked declined this week. .com fell 1.9% to 922K, its lowest weekly total in four weeks though still above the 895K and 902K recorded in late June, and the weekday distribution stayed normal: Monday through Thursday held between 136K and 149K, with the weekend dropping to 99-111K as usual.

The two developer-oriented extensions behaved differently over the past month. Across the four weeks from June 29, .app ran 26,262, then 27,015, then 31,031, then 27,377, a mid-window spike followed by a return toward its earlier range. .dev over the same weeks ran 7,375, then 7,663, then 7,618, then 7,286, holding within roughly 5% throughout. .app’s weekly totals swing enough that a single week’s movement says little on its own, while .dev has stayed close to 1,050 per day for a month.

.net and .org both softened without an identifiable cause. Neither shows the concentrated single-day patterns that would indicate campaign activity ending; the decline is spread evenly across the week.

Emerging .com Keywords

Keywords selected for abnormal current-week acceleration, where registrations materially exceeded the average of the prior three weekly buckets. Four-week window: Jun 29 – Jul 26, 2026. Pure-letter .com registrations only. “On Hosting NS” is the share of registrations whose nameservers point to hosting or CDN providers rather than a registrar default or marketplace listing. It shows that something can be served at the address, not what. Source: DomainKits Trends.

siding 33 → 142 +330% 84% 81.7%

Registration-level inspection of the notable patterns:

Signal: All four clusters share the same registration signature: a single-day burst, one dominant registrar, and a formulaic naming pattern. What differs is nameserver placement, with “wreck” and “siding” configured to serve content while “door”, “garage”, and “icon” sat on registrar defaults. That difference shows how far each batch was taken in its first week, not whether any of them is speculative.

Registration data reflects observed patterns in newly registered domain names and does not constitute investment advice. Individual registrant intent cannot be confirmed from registration data alone.

camilo.com 6L 1996 Network Solutions Jul 21
cirobe.com 6L 1998 Network Solutions Jul 22

New Registrations / Drop-Catches

Domain Registered Since Caught By Date
visionnet.com 1994 Gname Jul 24
popgirls.com 2002 Freshbreweddomains Jul 22
webtell.com 2002 DomainRoyale Jul 21
halfdot.com 2002 DropCatch Jul 23
fairbill.com 2004 Lionshare Domains Jul 24

Signal: All five expirations above date from 1996 to 2000 and are currently at Network Solutions. That shared registrar is weak evidence of anything on its own, since .com registration ran through a single provider until competition opened in 1999, and a name’s present registrar says nothing about how many times it changed hands in between. The more useful detail is status. Two of them, cirobe.com and portsun.com, have already moved into the redemption period. On the acquisition side, visionnet.com was registered in 1994 and was the oldest name caught this week; it and popgirls.com were both listed on a resale marketplace within days of being caught, while the remaining catches stayed on registrar or interim nameservers. These represent a fraction of what moves each week; DomainKits Changes Monitor tracks premium domain status changes as they happen.
