Weekly Registration Overview

New domain registrations from September 7 to September 13, 2026, compared with August 31 to September 6. The table covers selected extensions. Both weeks use data available on September 15, including records added since the previous issue. Source: DomainKits Trends.

TLD Sep 7-13 total Daily avg Aug 31 – Sep 6 total Daily avg Daily avg change
.com 984,620 140,660 995,817 142,260 -1,600
.org 55,798 7,971 57,663 8,238 -267
.net 56,753 8,108 57,012 8,145 -37
.app 27,640 3,949 26,928 3,847 +102
.dev 8,681 1,240 8,974 1,282 -42
.xyz 419,804 59,972 313,619 44,803 +15,169

.xyz rose from 313,619 to 419,804 registrations. The previous period’s increase came from a run that began midweek; this one covers all seven days. Among the other five extensions, .app rose 2.6%, while .dev fell 3.3%, .org 3.2%, .com 1.1% and .net 0.5%.

Outside the table, the two concentrated batches recorded last week ended: .asia fell from 23,842 to 6,448 registrations and .biz from 15,445 to 4,906. Three extensions rose by more than 10,000: .top from 110,335 to 137,557, .cam from 5,469 to 22,852 and .cfd from 12,093 to 22,654.

.cam had four days above 1,000 registrations against one the week before: 5,768 on Monday, 7,397 on Wednesday, 5,476 on Thursday and 2,904 on Friday. The delegation differs across them. Monday’s names sit on 151 distinct Cloudflare nameserver combinations, the largest holding 297 names. From Wednesday to Friday, between 65% and 89% of each day’s names point at a single pair at dyna-ns.net, which holds 12,425 of the week’s 22,850 .cam names in the registration records and about 1.8 million domains in total.

Hot Keywords

Four-week window: August 17 to September 13, 2026. Pure-letter .com registrations only. Selection: of the twenty highest-volume keywords over the window, the two largest weekly gainers and the three largest decliners by percentage. Source: DomainKits Trends.

Keyword Aug 17-23 Aug 24-30 Aug 31 – Sep 6 Sep 7-13 W-o-W
media 2,625 2,527 2,617 2,868 +9.6%
digital 2,583 2,541 2,689 2,850 +6.0%

group 6,592 6,207 6,685 6,150 -8.0%
llc 4,713 4,619 4,790 4,481 -6.5%

“ai”, the highest-volume keyword in the window, moved from 6,553 to 6,496, a change of under one percent, and did not qualify for either list.

Emerging .com Keywords

Selected keywords from those with at least 100 registrations in the report week and at least twice the mean of the prior three weeks. Counts cover pure-letter .com registrations only. Source: DomainKits NRDS.

Keyword Prior 3-week avg Report week vs. avg Peak day share
togel 281 854 +204% 64%
outlier 11 343 +3,116% 98%
scales 54 239 +340% 22%
blocks 56 206 +266% 86%
valorem 3 176 +5,180% 99%

The keyword dataset contains 763,687 pure-letter .com registrations for the week; the overview table also includes names with digits and hyphens.

What “outlier” Was

“outlier” went from a prior three-week mean of 11 registrations to 343. Three of the four things the records can check line up, and the fourth does not.

Dimension Observed
Date 337 of 343 on Thursday September 10, 2 on the 11th and 4 on the 12th
Registrar 334 through OpusDNS GmbH, 97.4%
Construction a fixed term joined to one other word, not repeated across the set
Nameservers 334 on Cloudflare, spread across its account range: the most-used pair holds 5 names

The second word is drawn from a narrow vocabulary of mail and account terms: inbox, mail, send, reach, outreach, connect, signin, signup, join, try, go, fast, quick, boost. Examples registered that day include sendinboxoutlier.com, easysignupoutlier.com, connectemailoutlier.com and reachsupportoutlier.com.

The dispersed delegation is the part worth noting. Where a shared nameserver pair groups names together, as with .cam from Wednesday to Friday, here each name has its own. A single registrar and a single day still hold, and OpusDNS does not carry the baseline volume that would make a 97% share unremarkable. What the records do not show is who registered the names or what they are for. Whether the set grows is visible in the public registration records, for anyone following it.

Tracked From Earlier Issues

“muse” rose from 1,244 registrations to 1,575, and the increase is in names on marketplace nameservers: 856 to 1,172, against 388 to 403 elsewhere. Two keywords that shared its table last week fell: “meta” from 1,045 to 410 and “hatch” from 368 to 64. “pathos” went from 452 to 2 on the same basis. The clothing and locality group that produced 598 registrations on one nameserver on September 1 did not repeat. Background on all of these is in the September 8 issue.

Registration data reflects observed patterns in newly registered domain names and does not constitute investment advice. Individual registrant intent cannot be confirmed from registration data alone.

Domain Trading Intelligence

Selected Sales

Five disclosed sales, each with a named platform. The Reported column gives the publication date of the report each figure is taken from, which is not the date the transaction closed; h2.com and school.ai were disclosed in daily sales reports in late August and appeared again in the September 8 weekly listing.

Domain Price Platform Reported
h2.com $240,000 Sedo Sep 8
rua69.com $145,171 Sedo Sep 8
school.ai $105,000 Sedo Sep 8
fureur.com $59,888 Sedo Sep 9
paragon.xyz $50,000 Efty Sep 7

Four of the five come from Sedo’s own listings, which several outlets republish; those republications are one source, not several.

Premium Domain Intelligence

Selected .com expirations and drop-catches detected from September 8 to September 13 by DomainKits Changes Monitor. No three-letter .com expirations were detected in the window.

Notable Expirations

Each name below was checked against registry records on September 15 and was still delegated to an expiry-hold nameserver at that check. The registry can automatically advance a .com expiration date by one year, so that date alone does not confirm a renewal. Two higher-ranked detections were left out because their registry records now show ordinary nameservers.

Domain Length Original creation year Registrar Detected
talkbot.com 7L 1998 NameBright Sep 10
leasehub.com 8L 2009 Sea Wasp Sep 11
homenote.com 8L 1999 DomainSpot Sep 12
fonari.com 6L 2001 Tucows Sep 13
sebino.com 6L 1997 Network Solutions Sep 10

Notable Drop-Catches

gymdock.com DropCatch Sep 11
cowlevel.com DropCatch Sep 9
nabolo.com Leatherneck Domains Sep 9
hirilo.com Atom.com Domains Sep 11
duotime.com Domain Original Sep 13

Names Followed From Earlier Issues

allmall.com left the expiration list. Its nameservers moved from registrar parking to a hosting provider on September 10, and the only status now set is the ordinary registrar transfer lock.

biotime.com and snapdog.com changed differently. On September 13 and September 14 respectively, their registry records stopped listing any nameservers. Neither carries a redemption or pending-delete status, so the records show a registered name with no delegation listed and no named registry stage.

Eight names showed no change at the September 15 check: ujg.com, pulselab.com and magicbar.com from last week’s table, and automaven.com, wetstream.com, yogatools.com, bloodroot.com and artfamily.com carried from earlier issues. nosesa.com, remimi.com, galibi.com and lifepower.com remain in the redemption period.

Weekly Insight

Two of this week’s movements can be taken apart, and they separate differently. The rise in “muse” is 331 registrations, of which 316 are names on marketplace nameservers. The 343 “outlier” names share a day and a registrar but do not share a nameserver, one pair to a name. A weekly count shows neither of these; the registrar and nameserver recorded beside each registration date are what make the difference visible. They do not identify a registrant, and nothing above stands in for one. Explore the current registration records in DomainKits.
